1. Overview

Annuity.com, Inc. (“Annuity.com,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit annuity.com and affiliated subdomains (collectively, the “Site”), how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have about our use of your information.

This policy applies to consumers who visit the Site or submit information through it. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you use the Site, you may choose to provide us with personal information, including:

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including:

What we do NOT collect

We do not ask for or collect bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, credit card numbers, driver’s license numbers, biometric identifiers, precise geolocation, or online-account credentials through the Site. If you need to provide this kind of information as part of purchasing an annuity, it will be collected directly by the insurance carrier or a licensed agent through their own secure systems — not through annuity.com.

3. Sensitive Personal Information

Several state privacy laws (including California’s CPRA and Colorado’s CPA) define categories of “sensitive personal information” that receive heightened protection — including Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health information, sexual orientation, biometric identifiers, and financial account credentials.

We do not knowingly collect, use, or share sensitive personal information through the Site for purposes that would trigger state-law rights to limit sensitive-information processing. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

We also do not collect or process “consumer health data” as defined under Washington’s My Health My Data Act, California’s consumer health data law, or similar state laws.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell lists. We do not sell or share your personal information with anyone outside the Annuity.com network for their own marketing. Nothing about you moves anywhere unless you have asked us to have a licensed insurance agent contact you.

When you ask for that help, your information goes to Financialize and to a licensed insurance agent appointed with Annuity.com, Inc., who follows up with you. That transfer is how your request gets answered. Because the agent provides value in exchange for the referral, California law treats it as a “sale” of personal information, and we describe it that way so your rights are clear — see Section 13 and our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

We share information only in the following circumstances:

With Financialize and the licensed agent you asked to have contact you

When you submit a request for a quote, rate, or personal consultation — by submitting a form, requesting results from one of our tools, or otherwise asking to be contacted — we transfer your contact information and stated request to two places:

The consent language on the submission form identifies the parties that may contact you. These agents are independent professionals, not employees of Annuity.com. Once your information reaches an agent, that agent’s own privacy practices apply to their use of it.

Under California law this transfer is a “sale” of personal information, because the agent provides value in exchange for the referral. You have the right to direct us not to make it — see our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. Opting out does not by itself end a conversation you have already started with an agent.

With service providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate the Site and serve you, including website hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer-relationship management (CRM), form processing, security, and call tracking. These providers may access your information only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to: comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process; enforce our Terms of Use; protect the rights, property, or safety of Annuity.com, our users, or others; or respond to a government request.

In a business transfer

If Annuity.com is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information we have collected may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

We will share information in other ways with your consent or at your direction.

Sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising

Certain cookies and tracking technologies used on the Site (such as advertising pixels) may be considered “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state privacy laws. See Sections 7 and 12 for details and your opt-out rights.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies on the Site. These include:

You can control cookies through your browser settings and through our cookie-preferences tool on the Site, where available. Blocking cookies may affect how the Site functions.

7. Analytics and Advertising

We use third-party analytics services — including Google Analytics — to understand Site traffic and usage. These services use cookies and similar identifiers. You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

We may also use advertising services (such as Meta/Facebook pixels or similar technologies) that allow us to reach audiences who have previously visited the Site or shown interest in topics we cover. To opt out of many interest-based ads across participating companies, visit the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

8. Calls, Texts, Emails, and Your Opt-Out Rights

If you submit a request through the Site, you may receive contact from Annuity.com or a licensed agent in our network by phone, email, or SMS, consistent with the consent language displayed at the point of submission and with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and other applicable laws.

Where you provide a phone number and check a consent box on our Site, you are providing prior express written consent under the TCPA for the parties identified in the consent disclosure to contact you by phone or text — including with autodialed or prerecorded calls or messages — at the number you provide. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Opt-out options

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal and regulatory obligations (including insurance-industry recordkeeping requirements and the five-year retention requirement for telemarketing consent records under the Telemarketing Sales Rule), to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the reason we hold it. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

10. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of minors. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at support@annuity.com and we will take steps to delete that information.

12. Your State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. As of 2026, states with such laws in effect include:

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Additional state laws are scheduled to take effect in 2026 and later years.

Rights that may be available to you

Subject to legal exceptions — and, except for opt-out requests, to verification of your identity — residents of these states generally have some or all of the following rights:

How to exercise your rights

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser (see Section 14). You do not need an account, you will not be charged, and we do not require you to verify your identity to opt out. We act on an opt-out request within 15 business days of receiving it.

For all other privacy requests — to know, access, correct, delete, or port your information — email support@annuity.com with “Privacy Request” and your state of residence in the subject line, or use our contact form. We will need to verify your identity before fulfilling these requests and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable state law.

You may authorize an agent to submit any request on your behalf. We will ask for written permission signed by you, and we may ask you to confirm it directly.

If we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by replying to our denial. We will respond to your appeal within the timeframes required by applicable state law.

13. California-Specific Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

This section provides additional disclosures for California residents as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months

Categories sold or shared in the past 12 months, and to whom

We also disclose personal information for business purposes to the service providers described in Section 5. Those disclosures are not sales.

Sources, purposes, and recipients

Sources, purposes for collection, and categories of recipients are described in Sections 2, 4, and 5 of this policy, respectively. We retain each category only for as long as necessary for the purposes disclosed.

Sensitive personal information

As described in Section 3, we do not knowingly collect or use sensitive personal information in a way that would give rise to a right to limit its use under the CPRA.

Sale and sharing

We sell personal information, as the CCPA defines that term. When you ask us to have a licensed insurance agent contact you, we transfer your information to Financialize and to an agent appointed with Annuity.com, Inc. The agent provides value in exchange for the referral, so California law treats the transfer as a sale — whatever we call it internally. We do not sell lists, and we do not sell to anyone outside the Annuity.com network. No transfer happens unless you have asked to be contacted.

We also share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising through certain third-party advertising cookies and pixels.

California residents have the right to direct us not to sell or share their personal information. To exercise it, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or send a Global Privacy Control signal (see Section 14). We act on an opt-out request within 15 business days of receiving it, and we notify anyone who received your information between the time you submitted your request and the time we completed it, and direct them to honor it too. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 18.

Notice of financial incentives

We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for the collection, sale, or sharing of personal information.

14. Global Privacy Control and Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry standard for DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals.

We do recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and other universal opt-out mechanisms as a valid opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information for residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, and other states that require recognition of such signals. When we detect a valid GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a request to opt out of both the sale and the sharing of personal information for that browser or device and any profile we associate with it. If you also give us information that identifies you — for example on a form — we will apply it to your record with us.

If your browser sends this signal and you then ask us directly to have an agent contact you, we will tell you about the conflict at the time you ask and let you choose: if you confirm, we will fulfil your request; if you do not, we will not share your information. A signal we receive after your information has already been provided to an agent stops future sale and sharing, but does not undo a transfer that has already happened. You can stop an agent’s contact at any time by telling the agent, replying STOP to a text, or using the unsubscribe link in an email.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as a banner on the Site or an email). We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
