Our Commitment to Accessibility

Annuity.com is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that financial education is a right, not a privilege, and we work to ensure that our content, tools, and services can be used by the widest possible audience.

Accessibility Standards

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 builds on WCAG 2.1 (which remains the benchmark in many regulatory contexts) and adds criteria that better support users with cognitive disabilities, low vision, and users on mobile devices.

These guidelines provide a framework for making web content accessible to people with a range of disabilities, including:

As a private commercial website, annuity.com is generally governed by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Although the ADA does not currently prescribe a specific technical standard for private-sector websites, WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA is widely recognized by courts, regulators, and the Department of Justice as the appropriate benchmark for web accessibility, and we voluntarily adopt it as our goal.

Features We’ve Implemented

Across the Site, we have worked to include the following accessibility features:

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix. We regularly test our pages using automated accessibility tools, manual keyboard testing, and screen-reader testing. Automated tools catch roughly 30% of accessibility issues, so we pair them with manual review to reach the remaining ones. When we identify issues, we work to correct them. When we add new content or features, we build them with accessibility in mind from the start.

Some older content or third-party tools embedded on the Site may not fully meet our accessibility standards. We are working to bring everything up to the same level.

Third-Party Content

Some features of the Site — such as embedded calculators, video content, or scheduling tools — are provided by third-party services. While we select partners who share our commitment to accessibility, we do not have full control over the accessibility of their products. If you encounter an accessibility barrier with a third-party feature, please let us know so we can work with the provider to address it.

Feedback and Help

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our Site, have suggestions for improvement, or need assistance accessing any content, please contact us. We welcome your feedback and take it seriously.
